Borderless
by Holli Kalina
Friday 12th December – Sunday 25th January
Launch Event: Friday 12th December, 6pm – 7:30pm
Holli Kalina is a photographer and educator whose work questions the stories that shape how we see the world.
“I think of myself as a quiet challenger of convention; my photography explores and often resists the social and political narratives woven by governments and the media.
Borderless is a participatory photography project that offers an alternative to the negative rhetoric currently surrounding migration and displacement. Working alongside individuals from displaced communities, I use collaborative image-making as a way to spark reflection, conversation, and creative expression. Through photography, participants are invited to share their own perspectives and experiences of life in the UK.
Every image in this exhibition has been created by members of displaced communities. Their photographs, ideas, and curatorial choices come together to form a collective voice—one that contributes powerfully to ongoing conversations about migration, identity, and belonging.”
