Emily draws on her love of horror movies and her fear of medical settings to explore a central component to what it is to be human: the body. Merging the imagery of abstracted body parts and soft, tactile materials she creates surreal depictions of internal processes that open up fantastical interpretations and allow us to step back from what is consistently closest to us.
