Hayley’s photographic practice previously explored themes of identity and celebrity. Since lockdown, however, her focus has shifted to subjects closer to home. Photographs of local landscapes, garden flowers and busy insects are framed by the edges of a cardboard box. The images are both reassuring and restrictive; they depict moments of calm, but the frame is a constant reminder of confinement.
