Alex’s practice is built upon personal conflicts, the rejection and reclamation of domesticity, the dynamic of the mother and child and the navigation involved within relationships and personal growth. There is an exploration of these conflicting themes through photographs, collecting, assembling and arranging a variety of rich materials and objects through a ritualistic process.
