RIPE LIVE: Pear Drops / The Remnants of Early Modern Remains by Ben Topping

RIPE Live: Pear Drops featured a showcase of new works by local and emerging artists in the Alfred Arcade and a solo show by Ben Topping titled’ The Remnants of Early Modern Humans’ in the windows of the Hidden Wardrobe. On the night we had live music by Ginkgos and a DJ set, as well as food and drinks at the Alfred Arcade and the Alfred Arms.

The project provided an opportunity for a group of emerging artists to exhibit a recent body of work in a new space, the Alfred Arcade. The artists will meet, exhibit and engage in critical debate; forming networks and friendships that will help them sustain a fruitful visual arts practice here in Southampton.

The Exhibition Pear Drops was on display Friday 21st June – Sunday 23rd June.
