RIPE Live was the first event of 2021’s RIPE season and saw the return of IRL events after the pandemic. The event included:
Tomato Catch-up, a collaborative project which aimed to encourage artistic and professional development through a series of skills-sharing workshops and activities. Featuring work by 2020 graduates from Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.
A new exhibition at the Hidden Wardrobe by ZEST artist, Benji Heinke. For this solo exhibition, Remote Icons, Benji exhibited a series of new paintings made over the last two years.
Music was provided at the Alfred Arms by Southampton based DJ, HANIN, along with live visuals created in collaboration with RIPE artist, James Hewins.
Drinks were served at the Alfred Arms.
Both exhibitions were also launched online via the ‘a space’ arts YouTube channel.
