RIPE Live was the first event of 2021’s RIPE season and saw the return of IRL events after the pandemic. The event included:
? Tomato Catch-up, a collaborative project which aimed to encourage artistic and professional development through a series of skills-sharing workshops and activities. Featuring work by 2020 graduates from Solent University and Winchester School of Art, University of Southampton.
? A new exhibition at the Hidden Wardrobe by ZEST artist, Benji Heinke. For this solo exhibition, Remote Icons, Benji exhibited a series of new paintings made over the last two years.
? Music was provided at the Alfred Arms by Southampton based DJ, HANIN, along with live visuals created in collaboration with RIPE artist, James Hewins.
? Drinks were served at the Alfred Arms.
Both exhibitions were also launched online via the ‘a space’ arts YouTube channel.
